So....I think I have a new favorite hobby. Lampwork glass beads! This little batch was my first try at glass work and it was seriously fun. (Getting to play with fire and colorful molten glass, of course its fun!) Can't wait to get better at it and make my own glass beads to add into handspun yarn. With plenty of colors of glass to choose from and endless design possibilities, it feels like having an infinite supply of beads for any project....made fresh any time I need them! If anyone has always wanted to try this or even just thought it was cool and considered melting some glass...do it now!!! It is surprisingly very affordable to get yourself started with the small very basic tools and equipment that you need to make beads. The experience and entertainment (not to mention beautiful beads) you get out of it is priceless. Try glass, it may become your new obsession. <3
